The Freedom Caucus believes that money for asian carp prevention program is a topic we should look into. The asian carp are destroying our fresh waters. The fish are known to jump up to 10 feet into the air when frightened. In 2007, the Environmental Protection Agency reported injuries to boaters that included black eyes, broken bones, and concussions due to collisions with the fish. As time goes by there are more and more asian carp fishes being born. In one female asian carp that one fish can carry up to one million eggs. Asian carp grow quickly, overwhelming their competition with sheer size and power. Besides plankton and vegetation, they feed on eggs of native species. In other words, they not only eat the food of their competition, but they also eat the competition before it has a chance to develop.
Another topic the Freedom Caucus wants us to focus on would have to be border security patrol programs. I want to focus on border security patrol because the United States citizens shouldn't have the fear of being under attack from terrorists and their foreign weapons entering our country. CPB (Corporation for Public Broadcasting) deploys highly trained law enforcement personnel who apprehend more than 1,000 individuals each day for suspected violations of the U.S. laws. Knowing that there are these types of issues in the United States is unbelievable. America shares 7,000 miles of land border with Canada and Mexico, as well as rivers, lakes and coastal waters around the country. These borders are vital economic gateways that account for trillions of dollars in trade and travel each year.
